Progress Post 10

Today I didn't make any changes to my game. I spent the class trying to figure out how I was going to make my monkey character into a prefab. Tomorrow I will probably be editing the the code and sorting the folders properly. 😐

Progress Post 9

Today I made the character have the appropriate animations for when you move left and right.
Tomorrow I am going to try to make my character into a "prefab" so I can use it in the scene of my game.

Progress Post 8

On Monday I had continued doing the same task as I had been doing on Friday and I lost track of time. Also, There were some problems when I loaded my project in Unity so I had to redo some of the animations. Tuesday I couldn't work on the game because I went to the Vancouver Aquarium for a school field trip.

Today However I made progress and started implementing code for my character. There are some errors as far as playing the right animations when the character walks left, and I will fix those tomorrow.

Progress Post 7

Today I made more animation sequences and started to work on the transitions and connecting them together to be used with code. I can tell the next few days will probably be difficult.

Today I used my finished sprite sheet for the player to make animations in Unity.
(I also added a left walking sprite row to the sheet)

Progress Post 4

Finished my sheet for the player. It includes the animations for idle, walking, and jumping.

Now I need to make them into animations, then into assets.

Progress Post 4

Today I realized that I needed to re-do my sprite sheet to include all my animations for my character. That's pretty much it. I'm mostly using this YouTube tutorial: tutorial

Progress Post 3

I spent today just learning how to make a sprite sheet. I made a sprite sheet for a walking animation for the player. Making sheets is tedious and time-consuming, so I'll probably only make few more for essential things like jumping, crouching, e.t.c.


I'm not sure, but I'd like the game to consist of the player shooting an object at monsters as they spawn. I'll probably make changes as I go and learn Unity.

Worked on creating a character sketch for the player of the game. I'll have to use the image(s) I've made to make some animated motions as well, which I will use as assets for the character in-game.

Progress Post 1

So far I've started learning how to navigate the Unity interface. I'm going to follow tutorials, but I'm going to try to use my own assets.

I could have made more detailed trees, but I wanted to keep it  simple.
